Placing as a Finalist in the Student Motion category for AGDA Awards 2023, 'Microscopic Marine Drifters' is a short explainer video made to educate viewers on the importance of plankton to the marine food chain and overall health of our ocean. I created this video for a Uni motion design assignment, where the brief was ‘The Invisible visible’ - Use motion design to reveal interesting topics that are often overlooked or ‘invisible’ to the majority. For this, I chose to shed light on the significance of plankton and their role in our ocean’s ecosystems. This video was created in After effects, using my dad’s voiceover, illustrations imported from Illustrator and grain textures made in Procreate.
